- It’s good for the environment because it saves water and doesn’t need to be mowed. Many turf products are also made of recycled materials.
- Where can you install artificial turf?
- Artificial turf can virtually be installed anywhere. It all depends on the type of application that your turf will be used for. Typically, turf is installed over concrete, gravel, soil, and variety of man-made plastic products.
- Does Artificial grass get hot?
- All types of synthetic turf will be on average hotter than regular grass. Our products we offer have heat deflecting technology built in. A great solution we offer to help further cool the turf is by adding Envirofill ®. Envirofill ® is an industry leading anti-microbial and heat-resistant infill for turf. Safe for dogs, cats, and humans alike.
- How long does it take to install turf?
- Depends on the size and the accessibility of the project. It can be anywhere from 1-2 days to a couple of weeks.
- How do you maintain artificial turf?
- Maintenance is key. Maintaining artificial turf involves regular cleaning and brushing. To properly clean, remove twigs and leaves, rinse with water, and clean up after dogs who may go to the bathroom on it right away. Regularly brushing the fibers keeps them upright and helps to maintain that manicured look.
- Will my turf smell if my dog uses the bathroom on it?
- No, not if properly treated and taken care of. Our K9 turf has specific drain holes punched and laid out on the back of the turf. K9 Turf is designed to drain out of these holes efficiently and into the drainage base under the turf. We recommend rising weekly and using a natural deodorizer.
- What if my dog tries to dig a hole in the turf?
- When installed correctly, your dog should not be able to dig up your K9 Turf. Our K9 Turf is made with the highest quality materials available. It has a specially designed woven backing to prevent dogs from being able to dig up the turf.
- How long will the turf last?
- Although estimates of longevity vary due to many factors, you can expect an artificial turf lawn to last at least 8-10 years. With proper maintenance and care turf can last as long as 15-20 years.
- What about high traffic areas on playgrounds?
- We offer a few solutions to this problem. By providing rubber wear mats in high traffic areas, you can get the full life out of your turf. Envirofill ® can be used in high traffic areas to decrease the wear and tear but must be maintained regularly. We also recommend using a specially designed high traffic turf wear mat under slides and other areas.
- Will the sun exposure fade the turf’s color?
- Our artificial grass is formulated with UV light stabilizers and inhibitors. This ensures the grass stays as green as it was the day you bought.
- Can I install the turf myself?
- Technically, you can install artificial turf yourself. However, the task can be a bit tricky for someone with limited experience. Our installers have over 15 years of combined experience in turf installation. We’re familiar with industry standards of turf installation and make sure to always go above and beyond what is required.
